The Rayners first appear as my great-grandmother on my paternal grandfather's side. There's an Elsie Rayner (1900-1935), married to a William Madd ison (died 1992). Her father was Squire Rayner, and her mother was Mary. One of his immediate relatives was a john rayner. not sure which one. Anyway, I thought I'd drop a note because Squire's a pretty unusual name and was wondering if any of them sounded familiar. Also, fabulous site!
