The Rayners first appear as my great-grandmother on my paternal grandfather's side.

There's an Elsie Rayner (1900-1935), married to a William Madd ison (died 1992). Her father was Squire Rayner, and her mother was Mary. One of his immediate relatives was a john rayner. not sure which one.

Anyway, I thought I'd drop a note because Squire's a pretty unusual name and was wondering if any of them sounded familiar.

Also, fabulous site!

Hello,
Nice website. I have a Thomas Rayner (1836) and William Rayner (1857) in my tree, but they are from Cheshire. They were tailors.

Hi Simon thx for your commments. Just had a look at your tree, very impressive and I can see you have put a lot of work into it. Thx

Hi. What a great site - well done. I'm Shiela's second son, living in London. I've got photographs showing many of the Rayners at different ages. I'll send them on.

Hi Tony, great to hear from you. I hope you and your family are well.
Thx for the kind words and would be great to get more photos for the gallery. If it is ok, I will send you an email so that you have my main address.

Hi! I am Frank and Minnie's great-grand-daughter, and Sheila's Grand-daughter. I heard about this site from my Dad, Michael. Fabulous work, it's wonderful to see all the generations on here. Thank you! I'm carrying on the Rayner descendants over here in New Jersey, USA!

Hi Janine, great to hear from you. A relative from across the pond no less! We are just starting to build (or should I say rebuild) the site especially the photo gallery, so adding new content frequently. Please keep popping in, and if you get the time join the forum. Pretty quiet there at the moment but hopefully more will join soon when the word gets out.

Please say hi to your Dad for me, and if you have any photos of your family you wish to share, I will gladly upload them
Jon
